Leesburg/Plain Township Fire Department and medics were called to a mobile home fire at Green Acres Trailer Park, Lot 154 at about 10:30 a.m. this morning.
PTFD Fire Chief Michael Wilson said the fire began in a dryer and resulted in some minor smoke damage to the residence.
Lourdes Gaytan, 46, was asleep in a recliner inside the trailer when she was awoken by smoke detectors and was able to escape the residence. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment of minor smoke inhalation.
An engine from Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory was sent to assist at the scene. The fire was reported to be under control by about 10:45 a.m.
