Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident located at the US 30 and Center Street intersection in the westbound lane of US 30 at 12:39 p.m. Sunday, July 27.
According to an accident report filed by Warsaw Police Department, the accident involved Terry P. Burgh, 48, of Warsaw, and Luano Goering, 59, also of Warsaw. According to the report, Burg was westbound on US 30 when he looked down for a moment and entered the intersection on a red light, causing him to strike into Goering’s vehicle, which was eastbound on Center Street.
Goering complained of back pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Burgh was reportedly uninjured though initial reports indicated two patients were transported.
Two Multi-Township EMS ambulances were called to the scene. Warsaw Fire Department assisted in cleanup. Damages are estimated to cost up to $10,000.
