WARSAW — On Monday morning, May 20, students from the Warsaw Area Career Center emergency medical technician program were visited by the Lutheran air helicopter to learn more about emergency healthcare.
During this event, students will learn about patient transport via aircraft, helicopter safety as a caregiver interacting with the aircraft from the ground, the difference of ground critical transport vs. air critical transport and the next steps in their training if they pursue becoming a flight medic.
This event serves to educate students pursuing medical courses in the EMT field at WACC and would not have been possible without the generous donation of time from Lutheran Health Network.
Warsaw Community Schools announced in a press release that the Warsaw Fire Department assisted in setting up a landing area on the high school campus for the event.
