WARSAW — A female was transported to a local hospital Wednesday afternoon, May 23, as the result of a two-car collision at the intersection of Columbia Street and Winona Avenue in Warsaw.
According to police, a black Ford Fusion was traveling southbound on Columbia Street and a Silver Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on Winona Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the driver of the Fusion drove through the stop sign, causing the collision.
The driver of the Corolla was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Warsaw Police Department officers investigated the accident and were assisted by crews from the Warsaw Fire Department.
